Juniper Providence

We tried Juniper frozen yogurt on Thayer St. in Providence. I’m told it’s similar to Pinkberry, but since I’ve never been to Pinkberry, I can’t make that comparison.
They were giving out free samples this afternoon and there was a bit of a crowd. The general consensus among a bunch of college students milling about was that it “tasted like yogurt.” I agree, it’s a frozen version of tangy plain yogurt. I had mine topped with raspberries. I plan on going back and trying a few other toppings, next time a drizzle of honey with some fresh fruit.

I have tried Pinkberry and Red Mango and Juniper but, you need to add to you list if you are from the Rhode Island area, Wildberry. Wildberry Frozen Yogurt is in Warren. Kind of off the beaten path I know, but worth the try Wildberry.
A bit more creative than some of the other with their menu and a list of “combo” option. Makes it easy for the inexperienced Froyo order! The Yogurt was Fantastic. on par with Pinkberry and Red Mango. I would say slight edge over Pinkberry in texture and taste. WIldberry has also ventured out to add some toppings to the menu.
Looks like Wildberry is seasonal since it sits on the water with some adorondack chairs and picnic tables!! fun place to people watch! If you have a boat you might want to pull up on the dock. The day I was there some teens who looked like they just got off the set of Bay Watched pulled up on their boat and headed for some smoothies and Yogurt. Also saw Brad Faxon and (pro golfer) there.
Wildberry also has Gelato which was a nice combo. Not everyone will love the taste yogurt (hard to believe!!!) So for those who son’t their gelato is terrific!! I highly recommend the combo called, Like A Nut. it is half chocolate. half coffee with almonds! I added some hot fudge! soooo goood
